Why Emplitrack
Why organizations choose Emplitrack
Attendance apps, HR suites, field service tools and spreadsheets each cover one part of the working day. The parts have to agree with each other, and separate tools never do.
- Six claims,we are prepared to be measured on.
- Four alternatives, each good at one part of the day.
- One honest line, between live and in build, on every page.
What you are probably comparing us with
| Alternative | Why people use it | Where it breaks down |
|---|---|---|
| Attendance and GPS apps | Cheap and quick to deploy | One capture method, no planning, no field work, no real approvals |
| HR suites | Strong on employee records and HR processes | Weak on the working day: shift exceptions, visits, routes, live operations |
| Field service tools | Strong on work orders and dispatch | Weak on workforce policy, attendance, leave and organizational approvals |
| Spreadsheets and chat | Free, flexible, familiar | No enforcement, no audit trail, no scale, no answer at month end |
Most organizations run two or three at once. The cost is not the licences. It is the reconciliation, the disputes and the decisions taken a month late.
Six claims
Six things we have to be better at
The claims we are prepared to be measured on, each with the capability that carries it.
Configurability, not assumption
Different employees, teams and locations under different rules, without custom development.
See workforce typesAttendance for every group
Office, hybrid, shift, field and site-based groups land on one attendance record.
See attendancePlan and execution together
The roster and the attendance. The assigned visit and the completed one.
See schedulingApprovals with depth
Routing, conditions, delegation and history on one approval engine.
See approvalsIntegration, not duplication
Read from a capable HR, payroll or CRM system and deliver back to it.
See integrationsIntelligence on trustworthy data
Reliable data, then policies, then analytics, then assistance. In that order.
See intelligence
What we are deliberately not
An operations platform with assistance on top of trustworthy data, and nothing that needs a euphemism.
- Not employee surveillance: location applies where the work needs it, under scope
- Not a single-purpose attendance app: attendance is one capability of nine
- Not a replacement for capable payroll, HR or CRM software
- Not an AI product: attendance validity and approvals stay governed by explicit rules
Where we are a weak fit
Being clear about this protects you more than it protects us.
- Your whole team is office based and a simple attendance tool is enough
- You want device tracking with no operational workflow around it
- You need a full HR suite, with recruitment and payroll processing, as the purchase
- You need a sales CRM with no field execution
- Nobody will define policies, structures and approval rules
Common questions
Do you have a comparison against a specific product?
Not published today, because a comparison is only useful if it is current and truthful. Tell us what you are evaluating and you will get a straight answer on where we win and where we do not.
We already have an HR system. Does that rule us out?
The opposite. Most customers keep it. Emplitrack owns the working day and exchanges data with the HR system. See the integration approach.
What if our requirement is not configurable yet?
You get told, in the demo, before you buy. Some requirements need the policy engine that is in build, and we will say which.
